The Pike County Sheriff’s Department is investigating Criminal Trespass and Criminal Damage to a residence located north of Griggsville.  The criminal activity was reported on 09/03/10 and happened the night prior.  The suspect(s) received an injury during this crime.  If you have any information on this or any other crime taking place in Pike County please call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500.  If an arrest is made based on your tip, you will be eligible for a cash reward.

Fugitive of the Week


The Pike County Sheriff’s Department holds a $2,500.00 body attachment on Jonathon L Lear who is a 42 year old male standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 173 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.  Lear’s last known address was Barry.  If you know the whereabouts of Lear, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 217-285-1500.  Your call will remain anonymous and if you tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward.

Crimestoppers would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few small steps you can take to help yourself from becoming a crime victim.   Lock all doors and windows in your house.  While making plans to leave for an extended time, remember to arrange for someone to watch over your house while you are away.  Remember to also remove keys and lock the doors on your vehicle while unattended, even while parked in your driveway.  If you have any information on any crime in Pike County, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 217-285-1500.  If your tip is used in making an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward.    

Crime Stoppers holds its monthly meetings at the Pike County Sheriff's Department on the second Thursday of the month. Crime Stoppers is run by a Board of Directors, which consists entirely of volunteers from the Crime Stopper Membership. Crime Stoppers is always looking for new members who wish to make a difference in their community.
